Use the supplied .SAR file

The .SAR file is included in the add-on ZIP: https://agents.sealights.co/slabapaddon/latest/abap_addons.zip. The ZIP also contains the .PAT file.

To install the ABAP addon using the supplied .SAR file, follow these steps:

  1. Extract the distribution ZIP file to a temporary directory on a machine where you have installed SAPGUI.

  2. Sign in to your QAS or PRD system using client 000, as a user with sufficient permissions to update the Data Dictionary.

  3. Run transaction SAINT and select the Installation Package > Load packages > From Front End menu option.

  4. Browse for the .SAR file in the temporary directory and select Open.

  5. If SAP displays the following message box, select Yes to replace the existing file.

    File already exists on the application server message box.
  6. SAP displays the following dialog.

  7. If you receive an error stating that the installed version of SAPCAR doesn't support verification of signed archives, this may be resolved by downloading the latest version of SAPCAR from the SAP Support portal at https://support.sap.com and installing it in the SAP kernel directory. Alternatively, run transaction SPAM using client 000 and select Settings from the Extras menu. In the Import Queue tab, deselect the Check for digital signature of the imported OCS Packages checkbox.

  8. Select Decompress to upload the package. The status bar should display a success message confirming the file was transferred, decompressed, and deleted.

  9. Select Start in the Installed Add-ons screen. SAP displays the following screen.

  10. Select the TRICE Add-on and select Continue to display the Support Package selection tab.

  11. Select Continue to display the Installation queue tab.

  12. Select Continue to install the package. SAP displays the following message box.

    Add Modification Adjustment Transports to the Queue message box.
  13. Select No. SAP displays the following message box.

  14. Select Tick button. to start the installation of the ABAP Add-on. When the installation has finished, SAP displays the following screen.

  15. Select Finish to complete the installation. SAP displays the following message box.

  16. Select Do not send.
