Use the supplied .PAT file

To install the ABAP addon using the supplied .PAT file, follow these steps:

  1. Copy the supplied .PAT file from the distribution directory to the /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in directory on your SAP server machine. If the operating system is UNIX, the authorization mode of the files must be set to 777 ensuring Read, Write and Execute permissions, and you must copy the file in upper case.

  2. Log in to the SAP system on which you want to install the addon, using client 000, as a user with sufficient privileges to update the Data Dictionary.

  3. Run transaction SAINT and select the Installation Package > Load Packages > From Application Server menu option. SAP displays the following message box.

    SAINT: Confirm upload dialog.
  4. Select Yes. Select in the SAINT: Uploading Packages from the File System screen. SAP displays the following screen.

  5. Select Start. SAP displays the following screen.

  6. Select the TRICE Add-on with Release 100_700, and select Continue to display the Support package selection tab.

  8. Select Continue to install the package. SAP displays the following message box.

    Add Modification Adjustment Transports to the Queue message box.
  9. Select No. SAP displays the following message box.

  10. Select to start the installation of the ABAP Add-on. When the installation has finished, SAP displays the following screen.

  12. Select Do not send.
